Wohler Technologies Unveils the New Touch It Digital Multi-Image Viewer Solution
Versatile and smart design delivers advanced video touch screen and switching capabilities for up to 16 channels of SD-SDI inputs.
Hayward, CA – July 6, 2007 – In April, Wohler Technologies announced the newest addition to the Touch It family of touch screen multi-image viewers, the Touch It Digital. The latest release in this award-winning product line allows users to quickly identify and monitor up to 16 channels of SD-SDI video on dual high resolution 7-inch LCD screens in 3RU.
On the front panel, the left-hand screen displays a thumbnail image and on-screen ID for all input channels, allowing users to quickly identify and view each source. Based on the number of inputs, the images are auto-scaled to fill the entire screen. With the 16x1 touch screen switcher functionality, users can select the thumbnail image to view at full size on the right-hand screen and the signal to be sent to a single SDI output on BNC connector. The images viewed on each LCD screen can also be sent to VGA outputs for display on external monitors.
“The Touch-It Digital is a cost-effective, versatile solution for monitoring 1 to 16 serial digital video inputs,” says Brian Petersson, Senior Product Engineer and designer of the Touch-It Digital. “Redesigned from the ground up, many of the additional features offered by the Touch-It Digital are based on end user suggestions and application requirements.”
Standard features of the Touch It Digital include a 10/100 Base-T connection, allowing users to control and configure settings remotely via network connection, 2 HD/SD-SDI and 2 DVI outputs. The 854 x 480 high resolution screens feature both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
The compact, rack-mounted 3RU Touch It series is ideal for live, multi-camera shoots, sporting events, studios, mobile production and wherever multi-view monitoring is needed in a space critical environment. Units will be available through authorized Wohler distributors commencing mid-2007. An HD version will be available in September 2007.
